"Internalised stigma” or “self-stigma” occurs when a person takes on the negative ideas and stereotypes about people living with HIV and starts to apply these to themselves.
On Friday 26th May (1030am - 3pm), The Sussex Beacon will be holding the second workshop on self-stigma, for women living with HIV. This time it will be led by Lucy Hutchinson, who is our Peer Mentor Coordinator and is a woman living with HIV. She will share her own experiences and invite women attending to share their own experiences and advice, in a safe and confidential space.
If you would like to attend this free workshop, please contact Eve to help us confirm numbers (and to advise us of dietary requirements), as lunch will be included.
