Ashley Horsey’s brother has lived with HIV for 25 years. This family connection made it an easy decision for him to run the 2020 Brighton Half Marathon for The Sussex Beacon.
We are hugely grateful to all the Bear-Patrol team 2020 who walked over the O2 – a challenge called ‘Up at the O2’.
The team of 20 raised over £4,000 for the Beacon,which will go towards vital medical equipment
We were delighted to welcome our women’s group to the Sussex Beacon to celebrate International Women’s Day 2020.
Many of the women participating represent a group which has historically been overlooked in HIV treatment – women!
The Grand Brighton Half Marathon 2020 was an incredible event as 168 Team Beacon runners joined thousands of participants, hundreds of volunteers and dozens of staff to raise money for people living with HIV.

Every donation we receive from our community makes a difference and helps us to continue providing support and care for people people facing the challenges of HIV.
We accept referrals for our Inpatient Unit from doctors, nurses, GPs, mental health teams and social services for people living in Brighton & Hove and East and West Sussex.
