Charity shop volunteers are based in our two charity shops and help with the day to day running of the shops. They interact with customers, help to process donations and purchases and are the frontline ambassadors of The Sussex Beacon and a key part of the fundraising team.

Over the past few weeks we’ve received dozens of offers from local businesses to provide food after sharing an appeal for help on our charity’s Facebook page.
Food provided by local business has been pouring in to the Sussex Beacon this week as businesses and entrepreneurs react to our big ask for food stuffs.
Our hospital is open and working through this crisis but we are finding it difficult to obtain a good stock of food donations and staples such as flour and tinned tomatoes.
